Beyond the lens: Capturing life as we feel it
My customer’s trust me, and they love my work!

Ben’s canvas of Wastwater has become a timeless feature on our living room wall & one that you can’t help but be mesmerised by.
I know Ben travels far & wide for his craft. His pictures not only capture the beauty and essence of the wild places he’s in but he also manages through his photographs to transport you there too - a picture on your wall at home can be a permanent reminder of the wonders beyond those walls!Rich W - Woking (October 2024)
I am so pleased with my beautiful purchase from Filtered Landscapes. From the first moment I saw this print, it spoke to me and brought tears to my eyes.
I’m not normally the type to get emotional, but Ben has captured so much in this picture. Ben is a talented photographer who expresses the world around him in these beautiful prints. Thank you.
About ME
Who I Am
"Shoot the Landscape with your Mind's Eye and what you Feel, not the equipment you carry"
Ben’s passion centers around the great outdoors, and all it’s beauty. Whether shooting a sweeping downland landscape or a powerful, emotive shot in the Arctic. He looks to capture those moments that make you feel, something that is personal to you, an appreciation of our world or just to be.
Ben draws on his 25 years as a Paediatric (Children’s) Nurse working on Intensive Care at Great Ormond Street for 13 years and with families and children with very Complex Needs and disabilities. He has dealt with his own traumas and significant mental health battles. These experiences and challenges have helped shape him to be the intrinsically perceptive; deeply compassionate; mindfully connected person, and artist that he is.

Arctic Blue: A Moment in Time
This stunning image was a finalist in the One Eyeland 2023 International Landscape Photography Competition
The image features a vast and serene Arctic landscape. A snow-covered mountain range is the prominent feature, extending across the scene. The tallest peak is central in the image, with the range running diagonally from the bottom left to the top right. These peaks are reflected in the still waters of a lake below, suggesting a crisp and tranquil environment. The sky above is dark and overcast, hinting at the possibility of an upcoming storm.
Overall, the natural beauty of the snow-capped mountains and the calm lake offers a moment of stillness and introspection.

The Lonely Flight Home
The storm fast approached the coast at RSPB Caerlaverock, Dumfries when the sun broke through the clouds just as the Herron flew past, tucked in, flying fast and beautifully side lit by the winter sun.

Spiritual Flow
As I stood beside this hidden waterfall, I felt a profound sense of stillness. Capturing Spiritual Flow was about more than just the scene—it was about connecting with its essence. Lying in wait with my camera, I used a long exposure to reveal the soft, ethereal motion of the water, creating a contrast against the dark, textured rocks. The way the light danced across the flowing currents reminded me of a quiet, meditative energy, as if the landscape was breathing in harmony with me.
Each curve of the water felt alive, an unbroken connection between the earth and sky. The darkness surrounding the falls became a frame, drawing attention to the purity and strength of the water’s path. For me, this image symbolizes tranquillity and resilience—a spiritual flow that continues no matter the obstacles in its way. It’s a moment of peace I’ll always carry.

I have a couple of Bens ‘Filtered Landscape’ photography pieces displayed in my home. Bens photos are both nostalgic and mesmerising.
The way he captures light and shadow is what first captured my attention, making a landscape or object look almost magical. Ben’s work is beautiful and captivating, I am looking forward to adding more to my collection.
